Hospice & Community Care Raises More Than $200,000 at Spring Fling
On April 3, Hospice & Community Care hosted its annual Spring Fling event, raising over $200,000 for children’s bereavement services offered at the Pathways Center for Grief & Loss. The community’s response was overwhelming, breaking fundraising records!
The annual fundraiser was an opportunity for guests to mix and mingle while bidding on items during the silent and live auctions led by master of ceremonies, Anne Shannon of WGAL8. The Live Auction was led by local auctioneer, Darvin Rodgers of All American Auction Service. Items ranged from a diamond ring from Parkhill Jewelry to a cocktail-making class for six, from a five-course meal with wine pairing prepared by Food Network’s Chopped champion, Niki Marchetti, to four tickets to the U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club.
The proceeds from Spring Fling will be used to support the Coping Kids & Teens program offered by Pathways Center for Grief & Loss. This program provides individual and group counseling, as well as a bereavement camp for kids.
