The Dallas R. Fisher Inpatient Charitable Care Fund
The Dallas R. Fisher Inpatient Charitable Care Fund was created through the generosity of Sarah Young Fisher in honor of her husband, Dallas “Chuck” Fisher.
This Fund helps cover the cost of extend patient stays in the Bob Fryer & Family Inpatient Center. While Medicare and most private insurance pay for care in the Inpatient Center, once symptoms are well managed, Medicare and private insurance will no longer cover room and board costs for inpatient care. Patients are then asked to transition home or a senior living facility, even if the patient and their family believe the Inpatient Center is the best place for their loved one. This fund helps patients, who are unable to pay out of pocket, extend the stay for their loved one in the Inpatient Center.
Additionally, this Fund helps cover the cost of room and board for patients who are receiving Residential Care in the Inpatient Center but have limited financial resources. Costs associated with living at the Inpatient Center are not reimbursable by Medicare or private insurance.
Hospice & Community Care has established endowment funds for the purpose of providing income to be used for specific needs. The principal remains invested in order to perpetuate the fund for future generations. Gifts of any amount may be added to the Fund at any time.
