The HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund
This Endowment Fund was created by HOPE in the AIR, a division of Viocity Group, a family of companies. HOPE in the AIR brings our community together through stewardship and giving, providing valuable awareness and resources for causes and creating a positive impact in southeastern Pennsylvania.
An annual fundraising gala is held to raise funds for the selected program identified by HOPE in the AIR, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and financially support these emerging programs. In 2022, HOPE in the AIR held its annual gala to support Hospice & Community Care’s Sunflower Pediatric Program by creating The HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund.
The HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund will benefit children, teens and young adults impacted by serious illness and loss. Funds from the Endowment will support the ongoing efforts of Hospice & Community Care’s Sunflower Pediatric Program, which offers specialized pediatric care and comfort designed around the unique needs of children and teens with serious illness and their families. The HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund may also support specialized pediatric education and training for Hospice & Community Care staff. Hospice & Community Care Sunflower Pediatric Program includes in-home hospice and palliative care which is central to Hospice‘s mission to care for children and their families.
The HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund will enable families to focus on spending quality time together.
“While a child’s ‘community’ starts at home, it extends widely, and kids need the unique support that only their parents, siblings, extended family, friends, peers, and communities of support can provide. Families want to have their children at home with their siblings and other family members in their familiar surroundings, and the ongoing support that the Sunflower Pediatric Program will receive from the HOPE in the AIR Endowment Fund will allow that to happen. We want to ensure equal access to our pediatric hospice and palliative care services, and to include expensive equipment and medications, regardless of a family’s ability to pay for services.” – Dr. Kristen Moyer, Pediatric Medical Director
Hospice & Community Care has established endowments for the purpose of providing income to be used for specific needs. The principal remains invested in order to perpetuate the fund for future generations.
